Talpiyot Market Community Center

The existing section: Garden-Street-Market, is built on different levels, what generates barriers in the space. The suggested structure take advantage of this section to create a multidimensional circulation using different programs. This circulation is being done through intermediate spaces, which penetrate the programs, and by doing so, create the transition of natural light between them as well as different views.
The existing retaining wall enable a bi-polar section to the structure, as one facade acts as a facade to the street, while the other sealed by the ground. Programs arrangement through the building as well as changing the terrain have been done while taking this section into consideration, in order to enable lighting and ventilation of the different spaces.
Cutting the roof of the building with different slopes also enables penetration of natural light as well as points of views, overlooking the Haifa port and the main plaza.
